carbon tax welding industry - we are screwed

What does this carbon tax mean to the Welding insustry. Do imported Welding Machines get taxed for the carbon produced during their manufacture? We know electricity costs will increase immediately. The carbon tax is of course a tax but it’s intended function is to reduce consumption of carbon producing industries, Julia however, takes from one hand and gives with the other so why?

Manufacturing has today been sentenced to death in Australia, perhaps this is great. We are now a nation of people exploiting our resourses. When our resources run out Julia will introduce her master plan, she will exploit your ass. It is the only thing worth something after you have been screwed over.
