how much do pipeline Welders make?

I am thinking about becoming a Welder and my grandpa is a Welder and mainly welds pipelines and he said he can teach me how to weld but do I have to go to college or do I just have to get the certified Welders license?

You can take a trade school course and when you graduate, you can get a job easier than guys who are already Welders, because you will be “new”, to the business. Check out your local trade schools for Welding programs.
